August Balance Box
Your August Balance Box has some of my favorite things to make a savory, well- balanced bowl. Your turmeric cauliflower rice is arriving fresh. Toss it in the freezer if you want or use it within 5-7 days. Use a little ghee (recommend!) or olive oil to heat it on the stove top for a couple minutes. You want to keep it crunchy. Add as much Himalayan pink salt as you like. After defrosting the falafels ( chickpeas, chickpea flour, parsley, cilantro, salt, cumin, coriander, cardamom, ) either preheat the oven to 400 degrees or heat coconut oil in a wok to 350 degrees to fry for 3-5 minutes. If baking, heat a large, oven safe skillet over medium high heat and sear until golden brown, about 3 minutes. Then bake at 400 for about 10 minutes. Add the falafel to the cauliflower rice with Ume plum cabbage and cucumbers for a balanced meal. Ume bosh vinegar is a tart, briney fermented vinegar with many health benefits like aiding digestion, boosting the immune system, and potentially reducing the risk of certain diseases. Its a great way to pickle any veggie quickly! My kids love the "red stuff". Red cabbage is a must add to everyone's cancer prevention diet! It's being studied for causing apoptosis of several of the major cancer cells.
This months box has SAMA's matcha dusted GREEN TEA w lemon verbena. It's a new trial and not labeled as matcha dusted but it is. Matcha is green tea leaves ground into a powder. It has 10x more health benefits than drinking the tea alone. Add a splash of your Lemon Ginger shot if you like. I take my green tea with lemon and honey.
Some staples in the box as always: SAMA Soup (red lentils, tomatoes, ginger, turmeric, garlic, shallots, olive oil, salt) and Kitchari (white basmati rice, split mung beans, carrots, spinach, and healing spices). Ojas Juice; Liver Repair Juice; and Good Mood Smoothies.
Starting in September 2025, the subscription comes with a monthly Q&A/health and wellness discussion. MORE DETAILS TO COME
I like to do a vision board during this time of year. I put it on my home phone screen and on a wall in my bathroom so I see it every day. I use a mood board app called Morpholio Board to easily screen shot images on my phone and transfer them to my mood board. I love to have this digital copy to keep track of my years and the progress the visualizing helps to bring to fruition. It's amazing really.
Wishing you all a wonderful fall season!
