Kitchari Cleanse

The Kitchari Cleanse is meant to replace all meals and snacks for the day.  The timeframe is a loose timeline that should be adjusted to your sleeping schedule.

Defrost the items overnight.  Heat the soups on the stovetop and add as much water, pink salt, and lemon as you like.   Fresh cilantro is nice to add to the Kitchari. The Lemon Ginger Tonic can be used to splash on the soups.  It is also great splashed into the Hot Tonic Tea or simply in warm water that you drink in between juices to stay warm.  It can of course be taken as a shot or added to sparkling water in the evening to replace cocktails.

Add the Green Tea to the The Hot Tonic Tea for caffeine in the morning.  Lemon and honey can be nice to add too.   The Triphala Tea is a very bitter super detoxifier that balances the gut biome. Add honey to taste.  I steep the teas for 5 minutes and leave the bags in the tea as I drink them.  Feel free to remove if you like.  During winter, drink warm waters after the juices to stay warm and keep your digestive fire strong.  The Ojas Juice is wonderful heated too.

If you still feel hunger, you can add organic, white Basmati rice plain or with ghee if not vegan.  The Kitchari is a nutrition powerhouse of protein and  resistant starches.  The Juices offer vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients that detox and energize the cells.  The teas are meant to boost immunity, improve digestion, and/ or detox the cells and tissues.

I hope you feel amazing!
