March Balance Box
As spring approaches, allergies will flare. This box has smoothies and juices with plenty of pineapple to help strengthen immunity to fight off histamines and reduce inflammation in sinus passage ways. The Smokin' Hot Smoothie was a favorite at SAMA. Mangoes, pineapple, cilantro, jalapeño, and chia seeds make for a delicious smoothie. Defrost and add 8oz of ice in the blender. The Cold Aid juice with pineapple, aloe, lime, and shatavari are great during this time. Shatavari is a remarkable Ayurvedic herb for balancing hormones from the asparagus family. An adaptogenic herb, it can help the body cope with physical and emotional stress. You'll find our staple SAMA soups included along with the Liver Repair juice. Enjoy this all together as a two day reset or keep frozen and defrost as needed.
Enjoy our Kapha Scrub and Soak to AWAKE+RESTORE. We're all deficient in Magnesium which is well absorbed through the skin in these bath soaks. Matcha has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that can help brighten the skin and can reduce the appearance of blemishes. French green clay is a natural exfoliant and stimulant, and also works as a pore-tightening toner. Regular use can rebalance, soften and brighten the skin to improve overall complexion. Great for pulling out toxins and heavy metals. Kapha season is damp and wet, slow, thick, heavy, dense, cold and fluid. So we want to combat that with getting out in the sun as our days are longer for a morning or evening walk.
And finally a sweet treat. Find our vegan paleo blondies included. Almond butter, sun butter, df chocolate chips, chia seeds and coconut sugar make for a an indulgence you can feel good about. Perfect with our pu'erh tea and Mushroom Mylk (almonds, chaga, reishi, vanilla, maple syrup, pink salt). Froth up the mylk and top the pu'erh with it and then dust that with the Maca/Mesquite powder. Yum!
Balance this season with a regular morning wellness routine. I wake and gargle coconut oil as I take my dogs out. I scrape my tongue and brush and then immediately meditate for 20 minutes. This routine is set for me. Sometimes I journal, workout, make breakfast smoothies, or got straight to working from there but the initial routine is set. Wishing you all a wonderful rest of the month!
